Will the rest of the 2008 PGA season be exciting without Tiger?
Did anyone watch the Buick Open the past weekend? I did not! Why you ask, because I wasn’t expecting too much without Tiger being in the mix.
I did watch some highlights and saw that Kenny Perry won but it was not the same.
Don’t get me wrong I love golf and I love watching golf. I do not get a chance to watch golf every weekend. I do have young kids and I do need to spend time with theme. But I do try to watch the larger tournaments and I do watch the majors. The questions is will I still watch them without Tiger and the answer is I don’t know. It will probably depend on who is atop the leader board going into the weekend.
Now the big question for you is will you tune in to watch without Tiger.
I’ve heard that often times the events that Tiger is not playing, or on rare occasion, not in the hunt on the final day, viewership is down as much as 30%.
Are that many people just tuning in to see Tiger win, or maybe to see him lose?
Are you a fair-weather fan or are you a true golf fan?
Let me know?
