The 2008 Open Championship in underway
Well, it is finaly underway. The 137th Open Championship at the Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England.
The first golfers teed off this morning at 6:30. The weather has not been nice this year. Not even the smallest blue patch in the sky as driving wind and rain make the conditions tough today. High wind and rain is expected on and off all weekend but probably mostly on.
Is it me or do you enjoy watching tour golfers play in unfreindly conditions. I like seeing mother nature throw a wrench into these tournaments, unless I was actually at the tournament. Of course when I play it better not rain.
I just checked the leaderboard and see the Mike Wier and Retief Goosen are currently tied for the lead at 1-under for the first round. There are still quite a few golfers on the course so we shall see what happens later today.
Leave a comment and let us know who you think will win this years British Open Championship?
I would like to see Adam Scott win…we shall see.
