I know I am late in writing this post but I still can not believe that Phil Mickelson held off Tiger down the stretch this past Monday to win the Deutsche Bank Championship.
It has been a long time since Mickelson and Woods squared off head-to-head during a final round.
Tiger tried his best to make up shots on Mickelson. Woods had 4 putts for eagle during the final round but only picked up three shots.
It was great to see Mickelson win. I personally am a Mickelson fan, as well as a Tiger fan. It looked like Mickelson was poised to make a run at Tiger after winning the Players Championship. Unfortunately the wrist injury kept him from really being competitive.
I can’t wait to see what the next round of the FedEx cup brings.
